What happens when one of the country’s leading radio/club DJs steps out on faith and perfects something no one in the world has ever tried before? Atlanta-based DJ Mami Chula has combined her two biggest passions of DJ’ing and Aerial Silks into a whole new business/lifestyle experience/venture that is being sought after by the biggest and best in the entertainment industry. The movie Bad Boys For Life features Mami Chula prominently in the club scene. Will Smith was enthusiastic about her performance, calling it “so amazingly cool and unique." Prior to this, Mami did her first Aerial Silk DJ Club Show at Opera in Atlanta on New Year’s Eve to rave reviews. Mami Chula established herself as a pioneering radio DJ in Atlanta doing nights on the city's Hip Hop station Hot 107.9. She was later recruited to 95.5 The Beat, Wild 105.7 and 96.7. While there, she created and hosted her own events with mostly unsigned recording artists and social media celebrities, selling out nightclubs with acts that were receiving no radio airplay. During this time, nationally-syndicated Elvis Duran from NYC's Z-100 began playing her one-of-a-kind “Mami Mix." To this day, Mami Chula remains one of a few females to achieve a prolific top ten market footprint showcasing her skills both as a DJ and an on-air personality while boasting #1 ratings. Mami has appeared on Ellen, the Source Awards and BET. She has appeared at the Essence Festival for Coca-Cola for five consecutive years, at the NCAA Final Four and was the DJ for the Atlanta Dream WNBA team during their playoff run.
